The federation of appraisers, brokers and auctioneers (TMV, www.federatie-tmv.nl ) ensures that its members have the expertise. New members have to pass an exam at the time of registration and from then on maintenance of expertise is monitored. Serge Stam passed the exam in 1994 and he was
sworn in as expert/appraiser for bowed instruments. A new
personalized certification was established according to the
European standards in 2000. This signifies international
recognition for the now certified members of the TMV. |
